Software Engineer 45458 Overview

We are thrilled to announce that we are currently seeking a highly motivated Lead Software Engineer to join our mobile engineering team. This presents a unique and exciting opportunity for an individual with a natural inclination for problem‑solving to work directly on enhancing the video‑streaming experience of our expanding mobile customer base.

As a member of our team, you will have the chance to lead a team through the completion of complex and interesting problems in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment. We pride ourselves on constantly evaluating and adapting the latest and greatest on the iOS/tvOS platforms, and there’s always something new to learn.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of success leading and inspiring a team of iOS developers, experience with native app development on iOS/tvOS platforms, and an interest to continuously improve their skills and stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in mobile engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Technical development, debugging, and delivery of best‑in‑class tvOS and iOS native applications
  • Unit‑test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Lead the delivery of top‑quality tvOS and iOS native applications
  • Collaborate successfully with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and deploy new features
  • Work closely with your team to ensure the timely delivery of features and improvements
  • Promote good business practices in a positive and constructive manner
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Explore, evaluate, and implement new technologies to optimize development efficiency and productivity
  • Oversee the implementation of upgrades, rebuilds, and additional porting of applications
  • Successfully manage multiple tasks and projects in a results‑driven environment
  • Evaluate opportunities to bring new technical features to mobile users
  • Develop technical requirements documentation based on product requirements
  • Cultivate solid working relationships with colleagues, customers (internal and external), and company management
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of iOS development experience
  • Excellent programming skills in Swift
  • In‑depth knowledge of the iOS platform and deep familiarity with Xcode
  • Sound programming fundamentals: experience working with memory management, multi‑threaded programming, animations, etc.
  • Experience working on UI design for all size‑classes using storyboards and xibs
  • Acted as a key contributor to at least one publicly released native iPhone application
  • Experience in consuming RESTful APIs to connect with back‑end services.
  • Experience working with Agile development processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work well with non‑technical members of the development team
  • Ability to assist others in a technical capacity
  • Strong problem solving and architectural skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
Hiring Salary Range

US$ –  (depending on geography and experience). The position is bonus eligible. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability benefits, tuition assistance program, and PTO.
