Job Title: Data Engineer

Location-Type: Hybrid (3 days onsite in Burbank, CA 91522)

Start Date Is: ASAP

Duration: Through 12/31/26 (Contract, potential extension/conversion)

Compensation Range: $65-$70/hr

Hands-on Data Engineer responsible for building scalable, reliable, and reusable data pipelines to support analytics and AI/ML data products.

• Design and develop batch and streaming data pipelines using AWS tools
• Build and optimize pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with architects to implement data models and integrations
• Deliver clean, structured datasets for analytics and machine learning use cases
• Implement data quality checks, validation, and lineage tracking
• Contribute to data governance, cataloging, and schema management
• Partner with cross-functional teams in agile pod environments
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in development

• Must-Haves:
  • 7+ years of hands‑on data engineering experience
  • Strong expertise in AWS (Glue, Kinesis, Lambda, RDS, Dynamo
    
    DB, S3)
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Py Spark
  • Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow or Step Functions)
  • Experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift)
  • Proven ability to build and optimize batch and streaming pipelines
• Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience supporting AI/ML data products and feature engineering
  • Knowledge of data governance (lineage, cataloging, schema management)
  • Experience in agile/lean product team environments (PODs)
  • Strong mentoring and cross‑team collaboration skills
