Software Engineer II

Job Summary: Technology is at the heart of Disney’s past, present, and future. The Software Engineer II will develop and maintain front‑end tools, libraries, and components that empower workflows and reporting across Disney’s digital supply chain. Responsibilities include architecting new features, reviewing code, and leading technology discussions to drive quality and performance.
Responsibilities and Duties- Creating and maintaining shared JavaScript libraries and UI components.
- Implementing business logic for tool workflows.
- Reviewing others’ JavaScript and Type Script code.
- Acting as a technical lead for projects and initiatives.
- Employing test‑driven development and agile practices.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years in web development or software engineering.
- Strong understanding of front‑end web development technologies and principles.
- Proficient in JavaScript and relevant frameworks.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize in a fast‑moving environment.
- Quick learner of new concepts and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in media distribution or content operations.
- Experience building AI‑driven software.
- Experience working with vendor teams to deliver high‑quality results.
- Knowledge of performance testing and application profiling.
- Experience with React Native.
Required Education
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent).
The hiring range for this position in California is $ to $ per year and in Connecticut is $ to $ per year. The base pay offered will account for internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, depending on level and position offered.
