Paraprofessional/Instructional Assistant – AERO Therapeutic Center (Multiple Openings)
AERO Special Education Cooperative
OverviewParaprofessional/Instructional Assistant in STAR, PRIDE, FALP, CD, and Multi-Needs Programs. The role supports daily lessons and Implementation of IEP goals and objectives in a high‑needs school setting.
Responsibilities- Participate in the implementation of daily lessons and support instructors with IEP goals/objectives.
- Assist with life skills instruction, behavior management (including physical management), and supervise students on academic and non‑academic tasks.
- Utilize assistive technology and manage necessary equipment.
- Work collaboratively with a team to support students with moderate to severe disabilities, including cognitive impairment and autism.
- Educator License with stipulations or Paraprofessional letter from ISBE.
AERO Therapeutic Center (High‑Needs School) located at A.E.R.O. Therapeutic Center.
CompensationBase pay range: $27,591.00 per year (minimum salary). This equates to a minimum of $21.90 per hour worked. Increased salary is available for possession of an Associate’s Degree/60 Credit Hours or a Bachelor’s Degree/Substitute Teaching License.
