Base pay rangeSpecial Education Teacher (K–2) – LBS1

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide high‑quality instructional services to students in kindergarten through second grade. In this role, you will work under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator and collaborate closely with general education staff to design and implement individualized student programs.
This position is ideal for an educator who values teamwork, student‑centered planning, and creating meaningful learning experiences for diverse learners.
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to K–2 students with diverse learning needs
- Participate actively in IEP planning, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Provide consultation and collaboration with general education teachers
- Offer tutorial assistance and targeted interventions aligned with student goals
- Maintain compliance with all professional, district, and state standards
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred
- Illinois Professional Educator License with the LBS1 endorsement required
- Current CPR certification, if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X‑ray as required
- Current health certificate per contract or state regulation
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
