Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Position reports to: Quality Control Manager
Position backed by: Quality Manager or Designated Department Foreman
Department: Quality
Terms: Monday-Friday-during posted shop hours
Job Summary: Examine and inspect materials, finished parts, and fabricated products for defects and wear to ensure conformance with work orders, diagrams, blueprints and customer specifications completeness.
Essential Functions:
- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions.
- Examine and inspect materials, finished parts, and fabricated products for defects and wear to insure conformance to customer specifications.
- Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
- Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
- Mark items with details such as acceptance or rejection status.
- Record inspection data and calibration data.
