Operating 24/7 in three shifts, the division utilizes specialized units such as School Resource Officers, D.A.R.E., Evidence Technicians, Field Training Officers, and Canine teams to enhance operational efficiency. Patrol officers engage in activities like traffic enforcement, crash investigations, and community monitoring in critical areas, including schools and parks.
The department is committed to public safety and ensuring service reliability during peak hours, often supervised by a Watch Commander.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Patrol Officer, based in Burbank, IL. Responsibilities include responding to service calls, enforcing local regulations and traffic laws, conducting crash investigations, and ensuring public safety in community areas. The role also involves providing emergency services, monitoring high-traffic locations, and addressing safety concerns. Patrol Officers work in cooperation with specialized units and serve as essential personnel in maintaining law and order.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Physical Security and Law Enforcement practices
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills
- Knowledge and experience with Emergency Services operations
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle high-stress situations effectively
- Capacity to work in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with public safety practices and protocols
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Completion of police academy training or related certification
