Your responsibilities will include teaching students of all ages in accordance with the British Swim School aquatics program. You will lead engaging lessons, monitor safety, and create a positive learning environment.

• You need to know how to swim. Ideally, you have an understanding of all four strokes and an overall appreciation for the water.
• You've got to love working with children and seeing them progress.
• You need to have a positive attitude and be ready to enjoy having fun ing fun is mandatory!
• This is a year‑round position, and we are looking for longer‑term employees. This is not a summer job.
• Be able to work weekend mornings (Saturday or Sunday or both) from 8:30 am–2:45 pm.
• Be able to start weekdays at 3:30 pm.
• Have reliable transportation to any of our area locations.
• Provide references. Reference check prior to employment is required.

Current Burien location hours:
Monday 3:45 pm–7:00 pm and Saturday 10:15 am–2:45 pm. Additional hours are available at our West Seattle locations on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary‑aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It’s helpful if you have experience with children or in a child‑focused job, but it’s not required if you can show the right attitude.

The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.

We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you’re not in the pool. These roles involve talking to parents on the phone or by the pool, making everyone feel part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”
