Shuttle Driver

Overview

Basic Function:
Responsible for the proper and safe operation of shuttle buses and transporting passengers.

• Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts and assist disabled passengers.
• Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
• Possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license to be carried while on duty.
• Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Courteously assist customers by answering questions and, if necessary, direct them to the Facility Manager.
• Report known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc., to garage office.
• Substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized.
• Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area.
• Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items when operating shuttle buses at an airport location.
• Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

• Education/Experience
  
  Required:
  
  Less than high school education or one month of related experience, training or an equivalent combination.
• License Requirement: Valid state driver’s license, current address and an acceptable DMV record.
• Availability to Work: Must be available for special shifts, 3rd shift and/or weekends if required.
• Language
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; present information in one‑on‑one situations.
• Mathematical
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to add, subtract two‑digit numbers; multiply and divide with tens and hundreds; perform operations with U.S. dollars.
• Appearance: Maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.
• Physical Demands: Stand, walk, use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasionally sit, climb or balance; may lift or move up to 75 pounds

$24.00 – $26.00 per hour
