Director of Tax - Partner

Responsibilities

• Lead tax planning and tax return preparation for clients and collaborate with internal accounting teams
• Manage, mentor and develop tax staff
• Review tax work for accuracy, compliance, and alignment with client tax strategies
• Prepare and review complex tax returns
• Research and consult on complex tax matters
• Ensure quality control and accuracy across all tax engagements
• Meet with key clients to review and refine tax strategies
• Identify opportunities for additional client services
• Oversee tax team processes, technology, KPIs, and client records
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
• Complete required CPE and stay current on tax legislation

• Minimum of 10 years of tax and accounting experience in a public accounting firm
• Active CPA or EA license
• Proven ability to manage teams and multiple client engagements
• Strong proficiency with tax, accounting, and office software
• Extensive knowledge of individual, corporate, and partnership taxation
• Trust, Estate, Gift taxation experience is a plus
• A leader, familiar with US Govt, contractors, active military and veterans
