Commissioning Engineer - Data Center

Renewyx have partnered with a leading mission-critical infrastructure contractor to place a Commissioning Engineer in Northern Virginia — the data center capital of the world.

Two to five years in? This is the contract that accelerates your career. You will be working hands‑on across live hyperscale builds, gaining exposure to complex MEP and critical power systems at a scale most engineers never see.

You will execute commissioning test procedures across electrical, mechanical, and controls systems, support Level 1 through Level 4 testing, document findings, and track deficiency resolution through to sign‑off. You will work alongside senior commissioning engineers and PMs on active data center builds throughout the No

VA corridor.

• 2 to 5 years of commissioning experience in data centers or mission‑critical facilities
• Hands‑on knowledge of MEP systems — critical power, cooling, and controls
• Experience executing and documenting commissioning test procedures
• CxA certification (BCxA, AABC, or equivalent) preferred or in progress
• Strong attention to detail and solid technical writing skills
• Comfortable working on site in a fast‑paced construction environment

• $80 to $115 per hour (contract / 1099)
• Active contract on a live hyperscale program
• Northern Virginia — site‑based
• Per diem and travel support where applicable
