Guitar Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a Guitar Teacher to provide engaging private and small group lessons in our retail store. In this role you'll teach students of all ages and skill levels, build personalized lesson plans, and track progress in technique, theory, and musicianship. You'll partner with store staff to support lesson enrollment and scheduling, help families choose appropriate instruments and materials, and contribute to a welcoming, student focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small-group guitar lessons to students of varying ages and levels
• Develop individualized lesson plans focused on technique, theory, and repertoire
• Assess student skill levels and track progress over time
• Communicate with students and parents about goals, assignments, and practice habits
• Coordinate lesson scheduling and attendance with store staff
• Support lesson enrollment and student retention efforts in the store
• Advise students and families on appropriate guitars, accessories, and learning materials
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, or school performances as needed
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold Music & Arts' service and education standards
