Assistant Maintenance

As an assistant maintenance technician, you play a key role in ensuring residents are satisfied with their residences. Working with the lead supervisor, you monitor and maintain all assigned buildings while implementing safety standards that comply with company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines. You communicate professionally and courteously with residents to gather insights into their needs. Your duties include:

• Completing work orders, cleaning up grounds, and preparing vacant units
• Picking up trash, sweeping curbs and dumpster areas, and maintaining common areas
• Keeping the workshop, utility room, and mechanical rooms clean, orderly, and free of hazards
• Tracking inventory, placing orders for materials, and supplying receipts to the property manager and maintenance supervisor
• Responding within thirty minutes during designated on‑call hours

• HVAC and pool certification
• Experience using a variety of tools and equipment
• Experience reading blueprints and architectural documents
• Experience obtaining bids on projects and supervising contractors
• Experience maintaining files and inventory of supplies
• Ability to lift 50‑75 lbs and perform other physical duties
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team‑player mentality and excellent problem‑solving abilities

The position follows a typical 40‑hour schedule Monday through Friday with shared emergency on‑call hours.
