Position: Maintenance Technician (Warehouse)

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment in a nicotine pouch manufacturing environment. This role supports safe, efficient, and compliant operations by ensuring all machinery, utilities, and support systems are operating at optimal performance. The technician works closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to minimize downtime and maintain regulatory and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Repair and replace components such as motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, and control systems
  • Support setup, changeovers, and calibration of pouch filling, sealing, and packaging lines
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
  • Conduct routine inspections of production equipment and facility systems
  • Document maintenance work orders, parts usage, and repair details in the maintenance tracking system
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and line upgrades
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and notify leadership of critical stock needs
  • Follow all safety, GMP, and sanitation requirements for nicotine product manufacturing
  • Partner with Quality and Production teams to ensure equipment meets operational and compliance standards
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase reliability and efficiency
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or processing environment
  • Experience working with automated production and packaging equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment (basic diagnostic level at minimum)
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Computer skills for maintenance logs and work order systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (CPG, food, pharmaceutical, tobacco, or nicotine products)
  • PLC troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of GMP and sanitation standards
  • Welding or fabrication experience
  • Industrial electrical certification a plus
Work Environment &

Physical Requirements
  • Manufacturing environment with moving machinery and production lines
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • May require climbing ladders and working in tight spaces
  • Use of required PPE
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or shift schedules as needed
