Job Description & How to Apply Below

Build Big. Build Right. Build with ISC Manufacturing.

You take pride in every bead. You push yourself to get better. You want a place to grow. If that sounds like you, ISC Manufacturing is ready to meet you.

We design and build complex systems and components for Agriculture, Mining, Aggregates, Construction, Waste Processing, and Conveying. We’re hiring an experienced MIG/FCAW Fabrication Welder to help us deliver rugged, reliable equipment that keeps these industries moving.

A day in the life

Start your day reviewing detailed blueprints and setting up components to spec. You’ll prep parts using angle grinders, drill presses, handheld plasma, oxy-fuel torch, and an ironworker. Then you’ll lay down quality welds in every position—horizontal, vertical, and overhead—on carbon and stainless, from thin 14 ga sheet to thick 4+ inch plate. Some tasks take you off the ground (12 feet or more) using ladders or a boom lift.

Throughout, you’ll maintain your equipment, follow all safety procedures, coordinate with teammates, and keep projects on schedule and within budget.

What you’ll bring
  • 2+ years of MIG welding experience with strong FCAW skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license
  • Background in similar environments (e.g., conveyors, bucket elevators, mixers, heavy equipment fabrication)
  • Proficiency with GMAW (.035, .045), FCAW (.045, 1/16 ), and .035/.045 316

    LSI stainless processes
  • Capability to weld 14 ga through 4+  carbon and stainless steel
  • Comfortable reading tape measures, technical drawings, and AWS D1.1 requirements
  • Hands-on experience with layout and fit-up for CNC-cut and manually formed parts
  • Tool fluency: saws, squares, grinders, wrenches, and basic hand tools for pre/post-weld assembly and quality fit-up
  • Ability to safely rig and lift heavy, odd-shaped parts using forklifts and overhead cranes
  • PPE-minded: face shield, gloves, and other protective gear; strict adherence to safety standards
  • Detail-driven, responsive to verbal directions, self-starting, team-oriented, and quality focused
Physical and work environment
  • Frequent: squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl, twist/turn, grasp, push, reach overhead/outward
  • Lift up to 50 lbs regularly; stand/walk up to 10 hours per day
  • Occasional work at heights of 12’+ using ladders/boom lifts
Tools, machines, and technologies
  • MIG welder and flux-cored arc welder
  • Must provide basic tools: squares, tape measure, levels, welding hood, layout tools
Nice to have
  • Hydraulic shear, press brake, and part assembly experience
  • TIG welding exposure
  • Certifications (not required)
How we hire and how you grow
  • Pre-hire welding test required
  • Post-hire AWS D1.1 certification test required
  • 30–90 day probationary period

We value teammates who adapt to change, lead by example, take ownership, act with integrity, and contribute to our collective success—while embracing safety as a core value and following all company policies and procedures.

Schedule and pay
  • Must be able to work Monday–Fridays 5–5:30; sometimes weekends as needed
  • Compensation depends on experience and welding test results
Proficiencies that will set you up for success
  • Troubleshooting in a production setting
  • Accurate tape-measure reading
  • Efficient welding setups for production runs
  • Blueprint interpretation
  • Familiarity with AWS D1.1
