QS Concerns CoordinatorDay Shift - 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Job SummarySupport food safety and quality standards by helping resolve customer concerns, ensuring compliance with company and customer requirements, and partnering with teams to drive continuous improvement.
What you'll do- Manage customer concerns from intake through resolution, including follow‑up, documentation, and timely communication.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions that improve quality and food safety.
- Track, trend, and report customer concern data to help guide decisions and support presentations for site leadership and customers.
- Contribute to the Food Safety Team and support mock recovery exercises, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a quality resource for operations and leadership by helping troubleshoot product and process issues in a fast‑paced environment.
- Travel occasionally for training, customer visits, or quality meetings (less than 5% travel).
Education/Certification: BS Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other technical discipline is preferred, but not required.
Experience: 2 or more years in Quality Assurance or a technical‑related field in the Food Industry.
Training & Other:
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP/Food Safety, FSMA, FDA Regulations, GFSI audit schemes, SOPs, SSOPs, Sanitation, Food Processing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs, such as Word, Excel, and Office.
- Familiarity with File Maker preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Respond to customer concerns from start to finish, including data tracking, reporting, and coordinating corrective actions with internal teams.
- Support food safety and quality programs through audits, HACCP and regulatory compliance activities, testing, mock recovery exercises, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal partners, and serve as a point of contact for local food safety inspection agencies when needed.
- Lead or contribute to projects focused on cost savings, quality improvements, process enhancements, and reducing customer concerns across the business.
- Communicate clearly, stay organized, and work effectively with people at all levels while helping lead problem‑solving and decision‑making activities.
- Bring a proactive, self‑motivated approach with a focus on using facts, sound judgment, and a broad business perspective to improve operations and product quality.
- Pay: $60,000 - $65,000
