AboutThe Role
Performs a variety of technical food product tests, process checks, and audits to ensure compliance with company, process, and product quality, safety, food security, and sanitation standards and regulations, and achieve continuous improvement objectives. Ensures QA Technicians follow the established schedule and all policies & procedures.
What You’ll Do- Identifies, investigates, and troubleshoots food processing problems and non‑conformances to ensure compliance with product and packaging consistency, safety, and quality standards and to increase production efficiency.
- Ensures technicians are following all QA policies and procedures (plant QA hold/rework policy, HACCP, GMP, etc.) to reduce waste, increase regulatory compliance, and improve production efficiency.
- Adheres to safety, health and environmental standards of the facility.
- Review records, logs of tests, audits, and other quality procedures to ensure availability of accurate and thorough information.
- Trains new associates on GSF‑specific techniques and practices.
- Routinely interacts with plant personnel to provide QA and safety‑related information and to keep GSF and customers apprised of quality and safety concerns, opportunities for preventive maintenance, techniques, and regulations.
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure the accuracy and reliability of QA procedures.
- Complete 24/48‑hour sample checks, attend daily meetings for shift changeover, and administer aid to all QA when needed, including relief for lunches and breaks.
- Management of QS Sampling plan, including storage of retains, sensory, and micro samples.
- Ensure shift notes are complete and distributed to the QS Team and Management.

What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry, microbiology, or a related field of science from an accredited college or university
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience, with an understanding of food safety and regulations.
