Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Retail Support, Customer Service Rep
What You’ll Do
- Provide member service and maintain the checkout area.
- Resolve member issues and concerns, promoting Sam’s Club products and services.
- Guide and support members regarding self‑service technology.
- Process member purchases, including payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and the different membership and payment types.
- Follow company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including safety sweeps.
- Handle merchandise following proper procedures, correcting and reporting unsafe situations to facility management.
- Maintain entrance and exit areas, acknowledge members, verify membership cards, and identify member needs.
- Assist members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, and transporting items.
- Ensure a safe shopping environment and comply with company security and safety practices.
- Assist with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, teaching new technology, providing continuous learning, and driving process improvements.
- Handle returns properly and identify shrink and damage.
- Implement company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; use the Open Door Policy and other related action plans.
- Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and business partners to meet deadlines and expectations.
- Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships within the team, providing mentorship and recognition of others’ contributions.
- Act with integrity, modeling Walmart values and promoting the company’s regenerative goals, serving customers and members with a customer‑first mindset.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00*.
- The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Minimum Qualifications- Retail experience, including operating front‑end equipment such as a cash register.
- Experience working with mobile retail applications.
- Additional retail experience or certification that enhances member service performance.
