Position Summary
Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for members by following recipes, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure the freshest items available for members to take home. You will juggle several tasks quickly while helping members with their bakery orders. The role is rewarding, especially as you’re part of a large team focused on happy, satisfied members.
What You'll Do- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team, communicate with team members, and be flexible to the needs of the business.
- Be an Expert: Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs, operate baking equipment, follow recipes, wrap, label, and store merchandise, ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold‑chain compliance, and inventory management, and maintain equipment.
- Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality.
- Be an Owner: Commit to operational excellence, maintain work area according to company policies, uphold quality and date‑control standards for bakery items, secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise, eliminate waste, assist members with purchasing decisions, and ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club, model high‑quality service and products, execute the basics at the highest level of quality, and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these to business processes.
- Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt to change and feedback.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Successfully complete all required trainings and assessments within prescribed time if hired.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage at the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
