Service Technician

Champion Home Builders is seeking a Service Technician at its Burleson, Texas facility to perform warranty work on manufactured homes. The position requires scheduling customer appointments, picking and verifying parts, installing or repairing components, maintaining accurate work logs, and caring for the company vehicle.

FLSA Status:
Non-exempt. The Service Technician will work from a field service schedule and will be essential in ensuring customer satisfaction with new manufactured homes.

• Manage work schedule by making appointments with customers.
• Pick up parts from the factory as needed.
• Verify parts with orders.
• Install new parts or repair issues per work order.
• Maintain logbook as required by the Department of Transportation.
• Maintain company vehicle, including keeping it clean, stocked, and serviced.
• Return completed work orders to the factory by mail or personal delivery.
• Possess carpentry skills, including trim work, roofing, window replacement, drywall repairs, siding, flooring, plumbing, electrical, and repair/replace toilets, water heaters, light fixtures, and door/cabinet hardware.
• Maintain company tools and materials; inform management of any issues.
• Represent Champion Home Builders with a friendly attitude and professional appearance.

• Ability to troubleshoot, reason, and solve problems.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to understand and execute instructions.
• Understanding of and compliance with work safety policies and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Background and drug screening required.

High school diploma or GED; or six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
