Hydraulic Assembler

Responsible for assembling, wiring, and plumbing new and used equipment.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Three to six months related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience in the construction industry

• Attention to details
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics
• Must be able to follow all PPE requirements
• Use of power and hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and operation of vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes

• Install freshly painted components onto equipment per engineering drawings
• Wire trailer electrical systems including lights and brakes
• Plumb pneumatic brake systems on larger units
• Install hydraulic components and plumb hydraulic circuits per engineering drawings
• Install electronic components and wire electronic circuits per engineering drawings
• Set pressures on hydraulic circuits and verify parameters for electronic systems
• Perform system operation checks and take corrective action if necessary
• Operate equipment to test functionality and spool rope/cable onto reels when applicable
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and electronic issues and recommend corrective actions
• Wash units after final inspection
• Assist in maintenance of rental fleet when necessary
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance checks and services in accordance with appropriate maintenance schedules
• Keep the tools and work area clean and organized
• Keep the supervisor aware of parts and inventory used so they may be replaced
• Complete applicable maintenance forms and records
• Perform additional duties as assigned
