Truck Driver CDL A Solo Regional

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Burleson, TX offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a fulfilling driving career.

• Weekly pay starting at $1,649 or more
• Hours per week: 40 or more
• Solo miles pay: $0.43 per mile with 1,900 miles per week
• Solo stops pay: $39.14 per stop with 20–22 stops per week
• Paid training
• Schedule:
  
  Sunday through Saturday with 1–2 days off per week
• Dispatch start time: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM

• Routes: SOLO to TX, LA, OK, & AR (regional)
• Tractor type:
  Sleeper
• Trailer types:
  Reefer, 48’ & 53’
• Freight:
  Touch – Food
• Equipment:
  Electric pallet jack & lift gate; training provided for all equipment
• Trucks: 36 months or newer; include 24/7 roadside maintenance; fuel at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements
• Drug test and background check, including previous employer verification for last 3 years
• DOT physical and Ryder road test
• 9 months of tractor‑trailer experience within the past 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

Some positions require additional screening such as employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test and/or background requirements of the customer.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate safety hazards, maintain accurate records and logs
• Loading and unloading freight or assisting in freight duties as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned
