Truck Driver CDL A Solo Regional

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Burleson, TX. This role provides weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• Annual pay: $1,649 or more per week
• Paid weekly
• Hours per week: 40 or more
• Solo miles pay: $0.43 per mile (≈ 1,900 miles per week)
• Solo stops pay: $39.14 per stop (20‑22 stops per week)
• Paid training offered
• Schedule:
  
  Sunday – Saturday with 1‑2 days off per week
• Dispatch start time: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide a Class A CDL and required endorsements
• Class A tractor‑trailer experience: 9 months in the past 3 years, OR 2 years in the past 5 years, OR 5 years in the past 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detect, eliminate or minimize safety hazards and maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance, and company drivers fuel at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.

Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful, including electric pallet jack and lift gate. Freight type includes touch‑food. Traction: sleeper tractors; trailers: reefer, 48' & 53'. Routes: solo to TX, LA, OK & AR; regional.
