The Human Resource Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations while helping build a strong, engaged, and accountable workforce. This role partners closely with plant leadership to deliver practical HR solutions across recruiting, employee relations, training, compensation, benefits, and compliance.
The HR Generalist plays a key role in creating a positive, high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, productivity, and employee development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Coordinate job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding
- Support new-hire orientation and career development initiatives
- Monitor workforce needs and recommend staffing strategies
- Support the development of competitive pay and incentive structures
- Oversee benefits administration, including open enrollment
- Ensure compliance with FMLA and confidentiality requirements
- Serve as a resource to employees on benefit-related questions
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for exempt, non-exempt, temporary, and student positions
- Develop and maintain clear job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Foster positive employee–employer relationships
- Address employee concerns through coaching, counseling, and investigation
- Conduct exit interviews and support retention efforts
- Promote a respectful and harassment-free workplace
- Maintain organizational charts and employee directories
- Coordinate new hire, leadership, and professional development training
- Identify training needs to improve performance and productivity
- Maintain and continuously improve training systems and documentation
- Support policy development and employee handbook updates
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- Support audits, reporting, and HR metrics as needed
- Protect company information and uphold ethical standards
- Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years of HR experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Sound judgment and decision-making under pressure
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed
Pay: DOE
