AboutThe Role
The Forklift Operator is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management and the efficient movement of materials within the facility. This includes transferring inventory from delivery trucks to designated storage areas, maintaining proper FIFO practices, and supporting production teams by staging and delivering dry goods as needed. This role plays a key part in maintaining production flow and inventory accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Operate a forklift to move materials from receiving to storage and production areas
- Ensure inventory accuracy and proper product rotation using FIFO methods
- Stage and transport dry goods to support production departments
- Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently
- Enter inventory data into computer tracking systems
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure materials are properly labeled
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Support production teams to ensure continuous workflow
- Perform general housekeeping and maintain clean work areas
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination
- Prior forklift experience in an inventory or receiving environment preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a company‑issued forklift license
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, ratios, and percentages)
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with team members
- Basic computer skills with ability to learn systems quickly
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment
You’ll be part of the operations and warehouse support team at our Burley, Idaho facility, a large‑scale food manufacturing site supporting frozen potato production. This role works closely with production and receiving teams to ensure materials are available when needed, helping maintain efficient plant operations.
Compensation PackageStarting USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts. The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
