What You’ll Do

As a Part-Time Personal Host (Relocation Consultant), you will guide clients and their employees through every stage of the relocation process, coordinating moves and handling key logistical details with a white-glove approach to deliver a high-touch experience.

This role is primarily remote (60-70%), with 30-40% in-person client support throughout the city. You will manage your schedule within the company’s flexible work policies to ensure availability for clients when needed.

Success requires deep local expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for helping others navigate life changes. Project management, calendar coordination, problem-solving, and tech fluency are fundamental.

How You’ll Do It

  • Develop strong relationships with relocating employees by understanding their needs, preferences, and concerns.
  • Provide expert guidance on neighborhoods, transportation options, and local culture to help employees make informed decisions.
  • Conduct in-depth housing and school research
    , including rental trends, school ratings, commute times, and neighborhood suitability.
  • Assist with essential services such as DMV registration, banking setup, and other logistical requirements for a smooth transition.
  • Curate personalized recommendations for social, cultural, and lifestyle activities.
  • Gather and deliver customized information using Relocity’s software to create tailored client reports.
  • Coordinate and lead area tours
    , in person or virtual, sharing insights on neighborhoods and amenities.
  • Facilitate ongoing communication with relocating employees via phone, email, video calls, or in person to address questions and provide updates.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the relocation journey, liaising between clients, partners, and vendors.
  • Efficiently manage multiple relocations at various stages with organization and proactive follow-ups.
  • Handle administrative responsibilities including updating client records and documenting key interactions.

Experience and Skills

  • Must have the legal right to work in the USA
  • Minimum 5 years of residency in the San Francisco Peninsula region
    , with extensive knowledge of the local rental market, education system, and registration processes
  • Preference for someone based in the Mid–Peninsula Bay Area
    —ideally between Palo Alto and Burlingame
  • Must own a reliable, registered, and insured 4-door vehicle with a valid driver’s license for area tours and rental searches
  • Flexibility to dedicate at least 20 hours per week to this role
  • Must be flexible and available to work weekends
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Prior personal relocation or moving assistance experience is a plus

Education and Technology

  • Bachelor or Associate’s degree (or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google GSuite, and CRM systems
  • Must have a laptop, smartphone, and reliable internet

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents related to contracts, safety rules, and procedures
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups

Pay range: $30.66 - $33.15 hourly
