Hardware QA​/QC Engineer

We are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to uphold our zero‑defect standard and ensure that every rack leaving our facility is built with precision, reliability, and consistency. This role is highly hands‑on and requires a deep understanding of hardware integration, cabling, and validation procedures across the full lifecycle of rack assembly.

This role is based at our Burlingame location, and it is fully onsite.

• Inspect and verify incoming equipment, PDUs, hardware components, and accessories.
• Oversee rack preparation, airflow management, and PDU installation.
• Validate installation of servers, switches, storage systems, console servers, and supporting infrastructure.
• Review all cabling—including power, copper, fiber, and DAC—for accuracy, labeling, routing, and build consistency.
• Run comprehensive QA tests including:
  • staged power‑on
  • network and connectivity validation
  • redundancy and failover checks
  • flap and stress testing
• Ensure completed racks are secured, crated, labeled, and documented properly before shipping.
• Maintain and update QA/QC checklists, SOPs, QA logs, and documentation.
• Provide final rack sign‑off with photos, validation results, and documentation packages.

• Prior QA/QC experience in hardware integration, data center operations, or infrastructure assembly.
• Strong technical knowledge of servers, switches, PDUs, rack infrastructure, and structured cabling (copper, fiber, DAC).
• Proficiency in Linux command‑line environments for validation and troubleshooting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, plan proactively, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• A detail‑oriented, quality‑first mindset with a commitment to zero‑defect builds.
