Position: Government Program Manager (GPM)

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Government Program Manager (GPM) to ensure compliant project delivery for U.S. Government customers, including the Department of War, other Federal Government agencies and commercial industry partners. The successful candidate will be expected to work effectively with cross-functional teams in planning, executing and delivering on program budgets and schedules. The GPM must be able to analyze and assess solicitation requirements, work closely with internal and external teams, draft proposals, and align these activities to Xona’s overall business objectives.

Required Qualifications
  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (i.e., Green Card holder or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Experience in program or project management within technical or engineering-driven environments
  • Demonstrated success coordinating across cross-functional technical teams and external stakeholders
  • Strong ability to manage program schedules, dependencies, and milestones to ensure on-time delivery
  • Proven experience facilitating cross-team communication across engineering, operations, and business functions
  • Experience interfacing with suppliers and government customers to align on schedules, technical requirements, and deliverables
  • Track record of meeting customer commitments and delivery milestones
  • Proactive risk management skills, including identifying, communicating, and resolving program risks and blockers
  • Ability to provide clear, concise updates to leadership, escalate issues appropriately, and recommend solutions
  • Experience contributing to or improving program management processes, tools, and reporting structures in a scaling organization
  • Comfortable operating in a startup or fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and keep complex programs on track
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior military service or experience working with U.S. Federal Government or Department of Defense programs
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification
  • PMP, Agile, or other relevant program/project management certifications

For U.S. Roles: To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e. Green Card holder), or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

For U.K. Roles: To comply with U.K. regulations, this role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks, and successful candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).

For Canada Roles: Successful candidates must obtain and hold a security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
