Position SummaryThe Associate Attorney will be responsible for all aspects of workers’ compensation cases, including evaluating case merits, providing guidance and counsel to clients through effective communication, medical review, and negotiating, settling, and litigating cases as necessary.
Essential Job Functions- Manages a full caseload of workers’ compensation cases of varying complexity
- Creates litigation plans and budget plans, if necessary
- Conducts discovery
- Travels to court and other appearances
- Tries cases while maintaining exceptional client interaction
- Composes motions, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Prepares cases for trial
- Communicates with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties to effectively represent clients
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Should have at least 5 years experience in the defense of workers’ compensation cases
