Thursday–Saturday, AM Shift Pay Rate: $40.00–$46.00 per hour DOEJoin Our Team Peninsula Post Acute is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dependable Treatment Nurse (LVN) to join our nursing team on a Part-Time AM Shift schedule (Thursday–Saturday). This position is ideal for an experienced nurse who takes pride in providing exceptional resident care, with a strong focus on wound care, treatments, communication, and resident dignity.

Position Summary The primary function of the Treatment Nurse is to ensure effective and efficient care is provided as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with facility policies and procedures. The Treatment Nurse reports directly to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for providing care in accordance with current federal, state, local, and company standards to ensure the highest degree of quality care for our residents.

Essential Responsibilities Communicate regularly with residents and their families regarding Plans of Care, therapy services, and treatment protocols.

Provide exceptional customer service and communication to residents and families.

Maintain a high standard of nursing practice and professional conduct.

Accurately document treatments, resident responses, and nursing observations.

Carry out physician orders, including medications and prescribed treatments.

Perform treatments while protecting resident dignity, privacy, and self-respect.

Assess, monitor, and document wounds, pressure injuries, and skin conditions.

Notify physicians promptly regarding delayed healing, deterioration, signs of infection, or changes in wound status.

Ensure appropriate wound care interventions are incorporated into resident care plans.

Assist with the development and revision of treatment-related care plans.

Communicate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding treatment needs and resident conditions.

Report significant changes in resident condition to the RN Supervisor and Director of Nursing.

Participate in staff orientation and ongoing training programs.

Assist with facility surveys and regulatory inspections as requested.

Provide compassionate support and reassurance to residents and families.

Qualifications Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Two or more years of nursing experience preferred.

Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred.

Previous wound care and treatment experience strongly preferred.

Licensure & Certifications Current, active, and unrestricted California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license required.

Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.

Skills & Abilities Strong wound assessment and treatment skills.
