Barista;

What will you be doing?

As a Barista at the Embassy Suites SF Airport - Waterfront, you will be responsible to do the following job duties while staying true to our Vision, Mission, and Values in order to maximize profitability.

• Greets guests in a courteous and welcoming manner.
• Takes guests' orders for beverages and/or food in a friendly, professional and timely manner to ensure total guest satisfaction.
• Upsells additional items to enhance profitability.
• Makes and/or presents drinks using standard ingredient(s)/recipes and practicing prudent portion control.
• Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, maintaining accountability for all beverages served.
• Receives payment from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all transactions.
• Maintains proper and adequate set‑up of the coffee bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning, stocking and rotating all products needed.
• Responds to guest complaints in a positive and tactful manner, negotiates a compromise and implements a solution.
• Locks up and stores all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops, secures and balances bank and signs out/in keys.
• Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

The pay range for this position is between $19 and $21 per hour and is based on applicable experience and location.
