Utility Engineer

• Perform basic maintenance and repairs of hospital-owned buildings, equipment, and systems
• Work under the direction of the Chief or Assistant Chief Engineer
• Perform duties primarily on day shifts
• Support maintenance operations at Sutter Mills Peninsula Medical Center

• HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
• Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to use basic hand tools and painting equipment
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Basic mechanical and electrical experience
• Basic computer skills
  
  Ability to work Monday–Friday, variable days, with occasional/as-needed weekends
• Ability to work an 8-hour shift, 40 hours weekly

Demonstrates proficiency in basic maintenance and repair of hospital facilities, equipment, and systems, with a focus on mechanical and electrical tasks. Capable of effectively using hand tools and painting equipment while adhering to safety and operational standards.
