Based out of the Burlington Head Office and working closely with members of the Finance and Category Management teams, the Vendor Funds Manager will oversee and manage the accounting and monitoring of Vendor Rebate funds including vendor rebates and claim backs.
Responsibilities- Develop, organize, coordinate, direct and monitor all activities of the Vendor Funds Department including accrual to payment.
- Oversee processing of Vendor Claimback transactions.
- Collaborate with Category Management and Supply Chain teams to forecast, track, and report on rebates.
- Provide timely and accurate feedback related to operational performance to business partners.
- Develop and perform financial analysis to evaluate existing rebate programs (e.g., rebate tiers) to ensure accurate company estimates and collections.
- Ensure timely and accurate month‑end close related to rebates.
- Present monthly rebate reports to the executive team on key KPIs.
- Execute analysis to optimize rebate programs.
- Conduct root cause analysis on payment discrepancies and execute resolution of identified issues.
- Provide ad‑hoc reporting at the request of Senior Management.
- Ensure compliance with vendor funding agreements, including adherence to funding guidelines and reporting requirements.
- Act as system administrator for the Vendor Rebate Management System.
- Maintain internal controls to manage financial risks associated with rebates and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports on a regular basis.
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members to build a high‑performing team.
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience, required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Accounting or Finance, including supervisory experience.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex data.
- Strong communication skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset and superior organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL queries, Tableau, and experience with integrated ERP software.
- Completion of or working towards the CPA designation is an asset.
Salary range: $85,000 to $110,000 plus 15% bonus (total compensation range: $91,000 to $126,000).
