Job OverviewWe are looking for a Personal Banker Trainee who can connect personally with customers and help them achieve their financial goals through sound financial planning advice and product promotion.
Responsibilities- Advising customers on high‑level financial solutions across available investment and credit banking options.
- Engaging customers with thoughtful financial questions to create positive experiences, retain relationships, and deepen engagement.
- Building customer financial confidence by offering personalized advice, answering inquiries, and escalating matters appropriately while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Acting as a point of contact for frontline staff to handle customer issues.
- Maintaining a professional environment in common areas in line with marketing and regulatory guidelines.
- Working closely with existing and prospective customers to conduct financial reviews, discuss portfolio updates, and recommend additional solutions aligned with their financial goals.
- Striving to achieve and improve service level agreements and productivity targets.
- Ensuring documents comply with relevant regulations and reflect business intentions accurately.
- Collaborating as a team member, building a positive and diverse work environment, mentoring others, and addressing communication issues efficiently.
- High school diploma and/or one year of relevant experience.
- Post‑secondary or undergraduate degree in a related field is an asset.
- Completion of IFIC or an equivalent certification is required.
- CFSA must be completed within 12 months if hired.
- Experience in real‑estate secured lending and/or investment is an asset.
- A sound knowledge of advanced investing and credit processes, banking solutions, and concepts to provide personalized advice in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with software tools, including Microsoft Office and internet applications.
- Effective communication skills, able to exchange ideas and customer information concisely and logically.
- A self‑initiated professional with strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
This role requires mobility within the assigned district. Upon completion of the training program, you may be assigned to a position that can be located at a TD office within the same region, which may involve a geographic relocation. You must be willing and able to move to any location within the assigned region.
