In this role, you will be part of WSP's Mining Environmental Approvals team, working with specialists in hydrology, geochemistry, and engineering. You'll have the chance to integrate technical inputs while contributing to impactful permitting solutions. Collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and Indigenous communities is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee environmental permitting for metal mines in Ontario
• Prepare permit applications and technical reports
• Review project plans for water quality impacts
• Support water quality monitoring programs
• Engage with regulators and community stakeholders
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline; a post-graduate degree preferred
• Minimum five years of relevant consulting experience
• Demonstrated expertise in water quality assessment
• Knowledge of Ontario mining regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
