As a Licensed 310T Mechanic with First Student, you will help maintain and repair school buses to ensure vehicle readiness & safety.

- Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair with minimal supervision (brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmissions, etc.).
- Remove and reinstall mechanical components.
- Participate in 90‑day preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and annual inspections.
- Issue semiannual and annual MTO certificates using the Drive On program.
- Complete work orders accurately using individual tablets; maintain records of parts and labor.
- Respond to road calls and emergency services as needed.
- Adhere to First Student standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other maintenance duties as required.
- Participate in ASE certification program (training, testing, and bonuses provided).
- Valid 310T Mechanic license (required).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Appropriate mechanic's tool set.
- Strong problem‑solving and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
