Join the City of Burlington as a full-time 310T Truck and Coach Mechanic. In this position, you will engage in hands-on repairs and maintenance, ensuring the operational efficiency of buses, trucks, and emergency vehicles. Your responsibilities encompass inspecting and rectifying electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems, while adhering to city policies and MTO inspection standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on transit coaches and commercial vehicles

• Conduct thorough MTO inspections for safety compliance

• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and solve vehicle issues

• Maintain electrical, braking, and HVAC systems in various vehicles

• Document repair work accurately and follow verbal instructions

Requirements:

• Valid Class G driver’s license and acceptable driving record

• 310T Truck and Coach Mechanic Certificate is mandatory

• Ability to obtain Ontario “C” or “B” license with “Z” endorsement

• Must provide personal hand tools and toolbox

• Experience in vehicle systems repair is an asset
