Overview
Regional School District #10 is looking to build its pool of staff for its extended school year (ESY) program, for the summer of 2026. The ESY program will take place at Har-Bur Middle School.

Special Education Teacher - Certified/Licensed Staff:
Physical Therapist - Certified/Licensed Staff:
Social Worker - Certified/Licensed Staff: BCBA
- Certified/Licensed Staff:
Registered Nurse - Certified/Licensed Staff:
Occupational Therapist or COTA - Non-Certified Support Staff:
Paraeducators / Behavior Techs
* Related services positions may not need to work full session hours. Need will be based on student enrollment.
Qualifications- Certified:
Connecticut Certification for appropriate area, PreK-12 - Non-certified:
Experience working with students with disabilities, and meeting educational, training or licensing requirements for the position applying for.
Students with learning disabilities, OHI, autism, intellectual disability, speech/language disability, emotional disturbance, multiple disabilities.
Compensation- Certified/licensed staff/PT: $60 per hour (starting 7/1/2026 for COTA & RN)
- Non-certified Support Staff (Para/BT**): $25 per hour, plus 30 minutes of paid prep time per day.
- Provide instruction according to student IEPs.
- Collect daily attendance.
- Collect progress monitoring data and submit end-of-session progress reports.

Possible orientation date will be announced once all applications are received. Anticipated programs in-district will follow the time frames below; specifics will be based on student groupings and needs:
Group A (BEST and RISE programs) & Group BJune 29 – July 30 (
Note:
week 1 is M-W July 6 – July 30)
Monday – Thursday (for each group)
Schedule:
8:30 – 12:30; (T & Th to 2:00 pm HS program only) 8:30

* Paraeducators must provide official transcripts for an associate's degree or the completion of 60 college credits or show proof of passing the Para Pro exam with a score of 457 or higher. Behavior Techs. must also show proof of completing the 40 hours of Registered BT training.
