Behavior Technicians

Regional School District #10 2026/2027 School Year Behavior Technicians

Behavior Technicians will assist, tutor, and instruct students who present with behavioral and/or mental health needs.

The Behavior Technician willassistwith the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior reduction plans developed by a BCBA and / or Special Education teacher.

Additionally, the Behavior Technician willassistwith the implementation of Special Education programming.

Behavior technicians assist with core academics, executive functioning skills, and student care.

Location: Lake Garda Elementary and Lewis S. Mills High Schools

Nestled in the hills of Northwestern CT, Region 10 serves the towns of Harwinton and Burlington and is bordered by Farmington, Bristol, Litchfield, and Torrington. Our communities have many offerings contributing to work/life balance and convenience for daily life.

Starting Date: August 25, 2026

Wage: $23.78/hr

Schedule: 7.25 hours per day at Lake Garda Schools

7.0 hours per day at Lewis Mills Schools

183 days per year for all

• Associate's degree or higher OR 60 college credits OR passing score in the Para Pro exam
• Certified Behavior Tech or Registered Behavior tech OR
• Participation in additional 40 hours online training for Behavior Techs. (link provided)
