Job DescriptionMinimum Qualifications
- Current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred;
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered if otherwise qualified. - Minimum of 4,000 hours of recent and relevant nursing experience if holding a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience as required by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners for Career and Technical Authorization.
- Minimum of 3,000 hours of recent and relevant experience if the applicant holds an associate's degree in the teaching endorsement area sought, if such a degree is considered terminal for that field of instruction.
- Eligible for, or ability to obtain, an Iowa Career and Technical Education (CTE) Authorization in Health Sciences through the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners.
- Ability to complete required CTE authorization coursework, including instructional methods, curriculum development, assessment, human relations, special education, and ethics training.
- Successful completion of required state and district background checks.
- Current Iowa teaching license with Health Occupations or related endorsement.
- Prior teaching, clinical instruction, precepting, staff development, or training experience.
- Experience working with high school-aged students.
- Experience in multiple healthcare settings (hospital, long-term care, clinic, public health, etc.).
- Knowledge of healthcare career pathways, certifications, and work-based learning opportunities.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and technology skills.
