Medical Care Unit WB - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program:
Great River Health System (Direct) Program - Main.

Experience:

- Telemetry experience preferred.

Unit Details:

- Medical Care Unit patients are generally less acute, and some may be awaiting placement to a long-term care facility, with a variety of medical diagnoses.

- Patient population includes geriatric, adult, medical-surgical, telemetry, and patients with psychiatric issues.

Shift & Scheduling:

- Weekend rotation required.

- Traveler is not part of a regular call rotation but may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census; if called in, traveler must be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.

Floating Requirements:

- Unit is shared with Inpatient Rehab, and nurse may have to float between the Medical Care Unit and Inpatient Rehab, a designated unit for intense rehab services.

7 days maximum time off

2 references required

Certifications:

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or the alternative certification MAB
