Job Type: Full-time
DescriptionThis role operates administratively in a Residential Care Facility (RCF) Setting
, which is a type of facility that provides services for people with mental illness and other disabilities (Iowa Health & Human Services). Rather than institutionalizing individuals who have these physical and mental health needs, the RCF setting provides these individuals with the opportunity to live and receive services in a way that honors them and their abilities.
RCF Supervisor/Med Managers provide leadership to a team focused on delivering the best possible care. You’ll guide this team to fulfill the mission of empowering people to reach their goals and help them strive for more. As a core team member, you’ll maintain updated records, make decisions in compliance with governing body rules and regulations, and implement services that emphasize individual choice and decision making.
Your consistent leadership will give the team a trusted foundation to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve.
While it’s not a competition, we recognize that each person wants to ‘win’ at life; you’re a central part of someone else’s wins – and your own. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the following:

Recruit, supervise, schedule, and develop Direct Support Professionals through coaching, training, team meetings, and active leadership while ensuring staffing meets the needs of individuals served and complies with DIA staffing ratio requirements. - Operational & Resource Management:
Oversee daily operations by managing vehicle usage, individual financial processes in collaboration with the Representative Payee Team, medication check‑ins, appointment coordination, and community partnership initiatives to support quality service delivery. - Medication Management:
Safely administer medications, monitor and evaluate medication needs, complete required charting and assessments, manage weekly medication changes, and prepare appointment materials while ensuring compliance with medication administration standards. - Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies while ensuring accurate, timely documentation of incidents, investigations, medication records, and service delivery. - Person‑Centered Advocacy:
Foster an environment that promotes dignity, independence, and self‑determination by advocating for individual choice, respecting each person's rights, and delivering compassionate, person‑centered support.
