Accounts Payable Specialist - Greater Boston, Hybrid!

A leading behavioral health center is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage financial operations, ensuring accurate vendor payments, compliant purchasing, and timely availability of essential supplies. This is a hybrid role, located north of Boston, and only requires being onsite 1 day (sometimes
2) days/week.

Compensation: $60, annually

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume invoices, matching to POs and receiving documentation.
• Prepare weekly payments (ACH, check, credit card) and maintain AP records.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end close with AP aging, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain vendor tax documentation and assist with 1099 processing.
• Assist with purchase orders and coordinate inventory needs to prevent stockouts.
• Ensure AP processes comply with healthcare standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, ideally in healthcare.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare purchasing and supply chain practices.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage Intacct) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment.
