Project Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Burlington, Massachusetts. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in managing project financials, overseeing job costing, and ensuring accurate accounting practices for construction projects.

This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in cost accounting and leverage your experience with systems like Net Suite.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain and update financial records within accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Perform job costing and manage estimates to track project budgets effectively.

- Assist with construction accounting operations, including cost analysis and reporting.

- Collaborate with the payroll team to support payroll processing as needed.

- Utilize Net Suite to manage project financials and streamline accounting processes.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices while managing construction-related financial tasks.

- Analyze and reconcile project costs to identify discrepancies and improve accuracy.

- Provide detailed insights into project performance through regular financial reporting. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in project accounting or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in job costing and cost accounting for construction projects.

- Hands-on experience with Net Suite or similar enterprise accounting systems.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within cross-functional teams.
