Position Summary / Schedule
In-office Monday–Thursday at the Burlington, MA location, with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support accurate, timely processing of vendor invoices, including proper coding, authorization, compliance with company policies, and 1099 reporting; assist with invoice entry, reconcile vendor statements, and resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee and participate in vendor payment processing to ensure timely, accurate payments; monitor critical vendors and validate payment data.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop AP team members; provide day‑to‑day operational support, workload management, and performance feedback.
- Generate AP reports and analyze AP aging, vendor spend, and KPIs; identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Own and perform month‑end close activities related to accounts payable, prepaids, cash, credit card expenses, and other assigned general ledger areas.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities while staying involved in day‑to‑day operations.
- Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation.
- Participate in special projects and perform ad hoc analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business.
- 4+ years high‑volume accounts payable experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of month‑end close, accounting principles, and AP best practices.
- Exceptional organizational/time management; ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with large data sets; research, reconcile accounting data, and present improvement recommendations.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 strongly preferred.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel.
Compensation:
Salary range: $80,000 to $90,000 annually.
