Senior Accountant Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Location: Burlington, MA (On-Site)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $55.00–$65.00/hour (DOE)

Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and eligible to obtain a Government Security Clearance.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team in Burlington, MA. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for a highly analytical accounting professional with strong experience in financial reporting, cost accounting, project accounting, or construction accounting.

• Manage financial data and reporting for projects and contracts, including tracking project costs, labor, travel, and other direct expenses.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting.
• Create and manage purchase requests and purchase orders for vendors and subcontractors.
• Review and approve vendor and subcontractor invoices.
• Monitor timesheets, labor allocations, travel expenses, and project-related costs.
• Prepare and review customer invoices while supporting full-cycle Accounts Receivable functions.
• Analyze financial information and provide recommendations to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with financial and contractual requirements.
• Assist the Controller with month-end close activities.
• Support business insurance administration, stock program activities, SAMS renewals, and GSA modification processing.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required.
• 5–10+ years of accounting and finance experience.
• Experience in cost accounting, project accounting, construction accounting, manufacturing accounting, or financial analysis is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Unanet or other DCAA-compliant accounting systems is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check and credit check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
