AAM
15 is looking for a hands-on finance leader to oversee accounting operations for a multi-property hotel, multi-family, and restaurant portfolio. This role will provide strategic and operational leadership while actively participating in day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, cash management, and internal controls.

Our ideal candidate will have extensive hospitality accounting experience, including oversight of multiple hotels, strong proficiency with hotel accounting systems, and advanced expertise in both M3 Accounting and Profit Sword. This individual must be comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working directly in the details while leading and developing a high-performing accounting team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting
  • Lead all accounting functions for a portfolio of hotels and hospitality-related businesses.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of operating results to executive leadership, ownership groups, and lenders.
  • Analyze property-level financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Review revenue, labor, departmental expenses, and profitability metrics across the portfolio.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
Multi-Property Accounting Oversight
  • Manage accounting operations for multiple hotel entities simultaneously.
  • Ensure consistency in accounting policies and procedures across all properties.
  • Review hotel financial packages for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
  • Partner with General Managers and operational leaders to improve financial performance.
  • Monitor property cash flow, working capital, and banking activities.
Hands-On Accounting Responsibilities
  • Perform or review complex journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and balance sheet issues.
  • Review payroll entries, benefit accruals, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and debt schedules.
  • Maintain general ledger integrity across all entities.
  • Support treasury management and cash forecasting activities.
Systems Management
  • Serve as the company's subject matter expert for:
  • M3 Accounting
  • Profit Sword
  • Property Management Systems (PMS)
  • Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Payroll and HRIS platforms
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting packages utilizing Profit Sword.
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve reporting efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate system integrations and data integrity.
Compliance & Internal Controls
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and lender reporting requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with franchise reporting requirements, lender reporting requirements and ownership reporting standards.
  • Construction accounting to include lender draw submittals
  • Oversee sales tax, occupancy tax, and other hospitality-related filings.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting managers, staff accountants, and property-level accounting personnel.
  • Establish performance expectations and accountability measures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accuracy, and customer service.
  • Partner with operations leadership to strengthen financial acumen throughout the organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • 5+ years of hospitality accounting experience.
  • 3+ years managing accounting functions for multiple hotel properties.
  • Advanced proficiency with:
  • M3 Accounting
  • Profit Sword
  • Strong understanding of hotel financial statements and key performance indicators.
  • Experience managing month-end close for multiple entities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proven leadership and team development experience.
Preferred
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, or other major hotel brands.
  • Experience in hotel management companies overseeing multiple ownership groups.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations including Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Revenue Management.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, property transitions, or portfolio growth.
