Staff Accountant
Burlington, Ma.
$55-65K + Bonus
- Corporate Accounting
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for corporate entities.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting schedules.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with corporate cash reconciliations and cash management activities.
- Assist with fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with corporate financial reporting and management reporting packages.
- Property Accounting
- Assist with the accounting for a portfolio of commercial retail properties.
- Record monthly journal entries and prepare account reconciliations.
- Review tenant receipts and apply cash collections.
- Assist with CAM, operating expense, and real estate tax reconciliations.
- Support tenant billings, rent adjustments, and percentage rent calculations.
- Prepare monthly property financial statements and variance analyses.
- Assist with lender reporting and ownership reporting requirements.
- Work closely with Property Managers and Asset Managers to resolve accounting questions and ensure timely reporting.
- Coordinate with third-party property managers to obtain financial information and supporting documentation.
- General Accounting
- Assist with annual audits and tax preparation by providing schedules and supporting documentation to external public accounting firms.
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with special projects, acquisitions, dispositions, and process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
- Bachelors in accounting
- 0-2 years of general accounting experience
