Accounting Manager

KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting has partnered with a growing manufacturing company in the Woburn, MA area in its search for an Accounting Manager. This position will have broad responsibility within the accounting group including financial reporting, general accounting and oversight of accounting staff.

The ideal candidate will have a solid general accounting background along with prior leadership experience. This is an opportunity to join a growing organization and help continue to develop its accounting processes and team.

• Manage and develop members of the accounting team
• Coordinate monthly accounting and reporting activities
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Provide oversight of general ledger and transactional accounting functions
• Maintain accurate financial records and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with annual audit and tax requirements
• Work with other departments to research and resolve accounting issues
• Develop and maintain accounting procedures and internal controls
• Participate in accounting systems and process improvement initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Previous experience supervising or managing accounting staff
• Strong general ledger and financial reporting experience
• Knowledge of GAAP and month-end accounting
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a growing and changing environment

Compensation: $135K–$150K plus bonus, equity and excellent benefits.
