Position Overview:The Manager, Forecasting & Market Research plays a critical role in shaping the organization’s strategic and operational direction by delivering high‑quality forecasts, market insights, and research that guide decision‑making across the commercial organization. This role blends analytical rigor with strategic thinking, ensuring forecasting models are accurate, inputs are validated, methodologies are well‑documented, and outputs clearly illuminate product performance, revenue trajectories, and evolving market dynamics.
In parallel, this role supports the design, execution, and synthesis of primary market research to generate actionable insights on customers, competitors, and market trends. As a trusted partner to senior leadership and cross‑functional teams, this position collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Finance, Medical Affairs, and Supply Chain to align assumptions, validate scenarios, and integrate real‑world market insights into forecasts and strategic planning.
Forecasting
- Develop, maintain, and enhance robust demand and revenue forecasts supporting short‑ and long‑term planning for BESREMi across approved and future indications
- Serve as the primary point of contact for forecasting activities, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Finance, and Supply Chain
- Facilitate alignment on key assumptions across functions to ensure consistency between forecasts and commercial strategies
- Build and refine advanced forecast models, including scenario analyses and what‑if sensitivities
- Prepare forecast presentations and clearly communicate assumptions, risks, and opportunities to executives and key stakeholders
- Evaluate and enhance forecasting methodologies, tools, and workflows
- Maintain documentation, standards, and version control for all forecasting processes
- Support in the execution and management of primary market research studies (e.g., ATU, brand tracking studies)
- Partner with internal stakeholders to define key business questions and translate them into effective research objectives and methodologies
- Manage external research vendors, including RFP development, vendor selection, study oversight, and budget management
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Act as a strategic thought partner to Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and Medical Affairs by providing data‑driven insights and research‑backed recommendations
- Support business development and portfolio strategy efforts with market sizing, opportunity assessment, and competitive insights
Experience and Skills:
- BS/BA in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in forecasting, analytics, market research within pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
